Process

Give us a call to schedule a complimentary consultation (by appointment only) they typically last about an hour.

Feel free to bring anyone you want along, your mom, maid of honor or your fiancé. As well as  any swatches of your bridesmaid dresses, flower ideas and color schemes and even other invitations that you have browsed online or even a sample from a friends wedding or another stationer.

We will discuss your wedding/personal style, paper colors/options, paper types, font style and what colors you would like to use for your invitations.  We can find a way to create an invitation to fit your budget!

Consultation:

  • You will receive an overview of our meeting and all of your invitation choices discussed will be put together in a quote along with, printing, paper, postage, assembly and any other additional costs will be sent for your review and approval
  • Upon approval of the quote, and signing of the contract we asked that you send in a 50% non-refundable deposit so we can order the paper supplies and the remaining balance is due when you pick up your invitations (or prior to shipment).
  • We will design and layout all of your invitation pieces and other printed materials and send them in an email for you to approve (2 revisions are included for each piece being designed) Any additional design revisions will incur a charge of $65.00/hour, with an hour minimum.

Deposit

After our initial consultation, an itemized quote sent for your review. Before beginning, we require a 50% non-refundable deposit, payable by cash or check. The remainder of the balance is due before the final product is shipped or delivered.

Design/Proofing Process

Once we have received your deposit, we are ready to begin the design process. We take the ideas we discussed at our consultation and our designer works her magic.

A design will be created for your review and revision.

Proofs will be emailed as pdf. Please look over your proof carefully, checking every piece of your invitation ensemble – all names, dates, addresses, etc. (click here for a proofing checklist)

Once you give us the “ok to print” the design files will be sent over to the printer. Once the files are at the  printer, any changes will incur a charge to fix the problem. The charge will depend upon the issue and the complexity to resolve it.

Heartstrings Paper and Press is not responsible for any errors after the final approval from you. Please check dates, names and all info for correct spelling. Check out our Proof Checklist

Printing/Assembly

Once you have approved the piece, we then send it to be printed, once we have received all printed pieces we will carefully inspect them, and begin assembly,  please allow 2-4 weeks for printing and assembly.

Printers, we have several printers we work with in Missoula, MT if you have a specific printer you would like to use please let us know at the consultation. You are welcome to take care of all the printing an assembly yourself for a 5% discount.

Turn around Time 

We try and have the first proof to you within two business days of receiving your deposit, and will have any corrections to your proofs to you for review within two business days. After we receive your paper order, we can begin the printing and assembly process. Depending on the complexity of your design, both the printing and assembly process generally takes between 2-4 weeks.

Rush Orders 

We understand that there may be times that you need your invitations sooner and we will work with you to get them in a timely fashion. Please let us know if you are under extreme time constraints so that we can design and print your invitations in such a way that they can be mailed on time!

Pick  Up & Delivery

If you live/work in Missoula, MT or the surrounding area we would be happy to deliver them in person or meet you somewhere. If you live outside Missoula we will carefully package and ship them via FedEx.
